Pantone Plus Colour Guides
Pantone Colour Guides are part of the Pantone Matching System (PMS) which is a global standard reference that enables printers and designers to control colour output on print projects.

These guides, often called Pantone Books, enable an exact match of a Pantone colour across any type of media, including on-screen, print on paper, card, ceramic, plastic, rubber, metal, etc. It also caters for coated (gloss) and uncoated (matt) usage because the final output could be completely different depending on the material used.

The PMS consists of a set of unique solid colours, pastel shades, neons, metallics opaques & transparent colours, skintones, and is growing. Each Pantone colour has a reference number (e.g Pantone 199 Red) and a mixing formula that enables printers to achieve the exact result the designer requires.

Pantone updates its colour guides each year so make sure you have the latest guide if you wish to add the latest colours to your design projects.

At IPT, we currently sell the full range of Pantone guides and colour chip books, as well as offering a Pantone Ink Mixing Service to exact Pantone reference specifications. If you need some help and advice choosing the right guide or would like us to help you mix your ink, get in touch.
